EA Sports has released the results of its annual Super Bowl simulation using the latest Madden installment. And it's not such a joke, as EA notes the simulation has been correct 9 out of the last 12 years.
In fact, last year's simulation between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks was so spot-on that it was downright scary : Not only was the winning team correct, but the sim got the exact score right and the New England's fourth-quarter comeback.
Now, Madden NFL 16 has predicted that the Carolina Panthers will defeat the Denver Broncos 24-20 in Sunday's big game. Carolina QB Cam Newton will earn MVP honors with a performance that includes 19 of 26 for 216 yards and a TD. Newton also cements the win with a rushing TD. On the flip side, Denver QB Peyton Manning goes for 21 of 37 for 241 yards and 2 TDs, and he does manage to lead a second half comeback after being down by 17, but it's not quite enough.
The oddsmakers certainly agree that Carolina wins. What do you say?
