New Ghostbusters Game Lets Guys Team Up With Girls

If you missed it, the Ghostbusters game that came out back in 2009 was actually pretty good.

And this summer, we can start bustin' again…but this time, we'll have the help of the ladies.

According to a USA Today report , a new Ghostbusters game is in the works and it will combine the classic cast of Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson with the new all-female cast of Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. The four-player action/RPG apparently lets you play as any of these characters, and it'll be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on July 12 (to coincide with the upcoming film's July 15 launch).

If they do this right, it should be tons of fun!

Looks Like A New Ghostbusters Game Is Heading Our Way

When the last Ghostbusters game came out (it was pretty darn good , by the way), actor Dan Aykroyd said it was basically a "third movie."

Well, now the real third movie is coming this summer and it seems we'll be getting another interactive experience to go along with it.

According to Retail Merchandiser (via IGN ), the new game is "fully-fledged" and will release alongside the new film, which is slated to hit theaters on July 15. Activision should be the publisher but we haven't heard a peep from them just yet; perhaps they're waiting before the new "Ghostbusters" hype train starts to roll, which we probably shouldn't expect to happen for a few months.

The last game featured voice work from all the original actors (Aykroyd, Bill Murray, Harold Ramis and Ernie Hudson), so we assume the ladies in the new movie (Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) will be lending their voice talents to the latest game.
