Computer players have had fun cleaning up various messes (and no, that isn't a metaphor). Now it's time for other gamers to participate.
As revealed at the Capcom-Unity blog , the 2D platformer Dustforce is headed to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Vita. While the game received plenty of critical acclaim and earned close to $700,000 for developer Hitbox, it proved to be financially flat. Here's hoping a console release will bring in more bucks.
It was also announced over at the PlayStation Blog that Terry Cavanaugh's VVVVVV is headed to the Vita as well. Captain Viridian and his crew are stranded in an alternate dimension, and you must find a way to locate your crew and somehow fix that dimension. It's not about shooting; it's not even about jumping. You just move Captain Viridian left and right…and then you invert his gravity, and that's the primary gameplay mechanic. That's how you'll progress and solve puzzles.
It should be a great addition to the Vita's library, and it seems Dustforce would also be a fun title to play while on the go.
