Ben-DutkaFranchise creator Kazunori Yamauchi said that Gran Turismo 7 might only be "a year or two away."
And that may be true. According to Gearnuke , the next series entry beyond GT6 – which is scheduled to launch on December 6 – might hit store shelves as early as next year.
This is due to industry insider "thuway"'s Tweet concerning a tech demo for GT7. We're not exactly sure how and when he saw this supposed tech demo, but thuway has been right before. His Tweet reads:
"GT 7 tech demo. Nothing to describe other than it looked amazing. It was snowing and at night. Cockpit view, then turned to outside the car."
There's no knowing if GT7 will be exclusive to the PlayStation 4 or if it'll first debut on the current PS3. GT6 is only for the PS3, although there has been talk about bringing that to Sony's next-gen console. It's a little confusing right now, but we're hoping Yamauchi clears things up shortly…having a new Gran Turismo for the PS4 next holiday season would be a very good plan. Toss in Uncharted 4 and you've got a party!
Kaz says best case scenario is GT7 in 2014. Quote "best case scenario.." not it will be released in 2014.

I'm not sure if releasing GT7 next year is a good idea. It would make GT6 the shortest lived and lowest sales in history by far. Plus, what will Sony have for 2015 to help boost PS4 sales further?..assuming Uncharted is for next year.
I'm hoping for a 2015 release. I can easily enjoy GT6 in the next two years.

Sony has tons of games coming to the PS4. GT7 needs to release for the PS4 sooner rather than later. GT6 is a mistake in my opinion To only have GT7 come oout in the same year. Now on the flipside if GT7 were sinply titled GT6 and it be for the PS4 then it comes when it comes. But regardless the point is the PS4 needs GT6 or 7 asap.

Your logic is faulty on every level.
Releasing GT6 on PS3 exclusively is not a mistake in any way, shape, or form, and here's 4 reasons why.
1. The install base of 80+ million on PS3 vs. 2-3 million on PS4 by Dec 6th trumps any selfish desires by the gaming community to have the game also released on PS4. The PS3 version wouldn't sell as well as it will with its current exclusive status, and the PS4 version would never be able to move 10+ million copies that GT games traditionally do due to the low number of PS4s currently in the wild, regardless of the fact that it would help to sell a couple million extra PS4s on its own.
2. Driveclub needs breathing room for all of 2014 and most of 2015 to let Evolution's work shine before GT7 comes along and throws it by the wayside, turning it into a niche title, and ruining the prospect of ever seeing a sequel.
3. The PS4 needs GT7 to release for it exclusively in late 2015 to reinvigorate console sales at the exact point in time when most consoles have a tapering off in said sales. The majority of savvy consumers typically expect a price cut on hardware after a couple years, and will put off buying a console until the price does indeed drop, or a compelling title forces their hand early.
4. There's no way that Polyphony will release GT7 within a year of releasing GT6, they will want to maximize sales of GT6 first. Once GT6 sales are close to grinding to a halt, that's the perfect moment for Polyphony to drop GT7.
I'm looking forward to playing Gran Turismo on the PS4. I don't care if it's 6 or 7 as long as there's a PS4 version coming soon.
Agreed, I really want to see them take advantage of the PS4.

I'm pretty sure GT7 will be exclusive to the PS4 lol. It would be the silliest thing ever to realease GT6 PS3 in the end of 2013 and then release GT7 PS3 AND GT7 PS4 in 2014. #common sense
Not sure how that site ever got the idea that GT7 might be on PS3.
GT7 Prologue for Holidays 2014. GT7 for mid-2016. Exclusively for the PS4. Gives a nice long break for fans to enjoy GT6 and gives Polyphony time to really show what the PS4 can do. That's how I'd plan it, anyway. To hell with these one and two year cycles for full games, leaves them feeling tired.
I see this tech demo somewhat analogous to the PS3's GT HD that was available at launch. It took another year or so for GT5 Prologue, and then another year or so for the real deal.
I just hope GT7 isn't a rush job, similar to the new Forza. Each GT needs to feel like a true evolution and not something rushed to the market to support starving new hardware. True racing sim enthusiasts should treasure up GT6 all they can and place GT7 out of their mind until it gets close to release. That could be a couple years… or more

yea definately i mean if this is true that on my list for sure i love a gud track racing game all though i wud like a next gen motor storm for that rallying madness that i love on pacific rim and the origonal one on the 80 gb fat ps3 i tried in the store many years ago when i was still at school haha.

lets just put it this way, it took them, what, 5 years to create GT5?
if there creating a new engine for 7, which they should, there is no way in hell its going to be out next year!
even if they copy across all the assets and use the same engine they still wont have it done by next year.
