Golden Ruby Games, a two-man team in New York, is preparing Extreme Exorcism , which is now coming to both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3.
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , this "paranormal platformer" is representative of the classic arcade days, "where every move you make comes back to haunt you." Protagonist Mae Barrons must rid a haunted house of its curse: The spirits of lost lives and fallen high scores roam about, seeking vengeance.
The twist is as follows: Rather than facing more difficult foes as you progress, you'll battle ghosts of yourself . When you die, a new ghost will spawn and mimic your previous actions. With 50 challenges and even a multiplayer mode, this should offer loads of fast-paced retro fun.
When you've got to fight yourself, things get a lot more challenging.
