Play These Games On PS Now, Now

PlayStation’s cloud gaming subscription service has quite a few games. There’s like, what, 800 games available on the service? We wouldn’t fault you if you found yourself a tad overwhelmed. I mean, it’s not like any other major console subscription pass thing has as many games as PS Now.

Here’s some of our favourite games available on PS Now. Just take note that these aren’t necessarily the best games on PS Now, at least not by critic score or anything. They’re more like hidden gems, or games that we believe deserve more focus and attention. So without further adieu, here’s our list of games you gotta play on PS Now, now!

Rocket League

I own a copy of Rocket League on every platform it’s available on, and thanks to the wonders of cross-play, as well as the large and always growing esport scene, the popularity of this soccer-car-hybrid-game-thing has only increased over time. Rocket League is now bigger than ever, and yes, it’s available on PS Now. If you’ve never played Rocket League before, you owe it to yourself to check this game out.

Oh, and on a personal level, I also highly recommend watching Sunlesskhan, Mertzy, and Musty. They’re all fantastic Rocket League content creators, and offer their own unique flavour of competitive-focused content.

Joe Danger 2: The Movie

Joe Danger 2: The Movie is made from the same people that brought us No Man’s Sky, and is a surprisingly fun hi-score game with a similar overall gameplay feel to the Trials series of games. Basically, you just keep riding, doing stunts on various courses, and try to get the highest score possible. It’s oddly addicting in its own unique way, and a fun little time waster.

Katamari Forever

Katamari Damacy was my first Katamari game, and I’ve loved it ever since. I mean, you’re this little prince dude, and you gotta collect as much stuff into a giant ball that you roll around. That stuff later gets turned into one of the stars in the cosmos, which your father, the king, has control over.

Don’t question the logic behind it, just roll your freaking ball and collect as much stuff as you can, okay? Katamari Forever is a solid entry in the series, and it’s on PS Now.

Saints Row 2

Look, I don’t care what anybody says, Saints Row 2 is the best Saints game ever made. While the first Saints Row was trying to pretty much just copy the Grand Theft Auto formula, Saints Row 2 is the game that truly brought the Saints into the light. It gave them an identity. A purpose. A freaking reason to exist.

Sure, it’s a tad dated by today’s standards, but I still believe it’s the best in the series, and was a true sleeper hit at the time of its release. Check it out on PS Now.

Virtua Fighter 5

Little known fact; Virtua Fighter is the best fighting game franchise of all time. No, I don’t care if you disagree with me, you’re wrong. Virtua Fighter is the best. of. all. time. No questions!

Virtua Fighter 5 is a solid fighter, and for the first time in series history, includes actual online multiplayer. There’s no fancy gimmicks involved, it’s just a pure fighting game that uses real martial arts as the base of its awesomeness. So yeah, play this if you’re interested in playing the last game of the best fighting game franchise ever made. Or, if you’re feeling a bit more nostalgic, Virtua Fighter 2 is also available on PS Now.

Oh, and Sega? If you’re reading this, PLEASE MAKE VIRTUA FIGHTER 6! I need this… please.

Welp, there ya have it. Five games that really deserve your time. So go, go now. Launch up PS Now and play any of the above five games. Do it. Do it right now! Go!
