Nintendo Kinda Worked On Death Stranding 2

Nintendo apparently worked on Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On The Beach. Don’t get it twisted, though, they didn’t provide dev support and it will most certainly not be coming to the Switch 2.

Uncovered in the credits, Nintendo Pictures, the CG and motion capture division formerly known as Dynamo Pictures, was listed as providing the game’s mo-cap. To be clear, though, the deal was possibly inked before the buyout, after all, the studio did work on the original Death Stranding before Nintendo swooped them up and rebranded them.

As of late, Nintendo Pictures is focused on Nintendo IPs, but has dabbled with third-party ventures Toei Animation’s Pretty Cure. Additionally, if the deal wasn’t made before the buyout, it’s worth pointing out that Nintendo and Sony aren’t direct competition, with the latter even co-financing a live-action Legend of Zelda film, which was just recently delayed.

What do you think? Is it weird to know Nintendo, in some fashion, helped make Death Stranding 2? Let us know below!
