New Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles 2 Trailer Showcases The Swordsmith Village Arc

SEGA and CyberConnect2 have officially revealed Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2, set to release on August 5, 2025, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and the entire Nintendo Switch family. A brand-new trailer gives fans their first look at the highly anticipated Swordsmith Village Arc, which will be featured in the game’s expanded story mode. The trailer spotlights intense, cinematic battles featuring protagonist Tanjiro Kamado, along with new playable characters Muichiro Tokito and Mitsuri Kanroji, both of whom play key roles in this storyline.

Hinokami Chronicles 2 spans multiple major arcs from the anime, including the Entertainment District Arc, Swordsmith Village Arc, and the upcoming Hashira Training Arc, delivering a faithful adaptation filled with dramatic storytelling and high-stakes action. The game’s Versus Mode boasts an impressive roster of over 40 playable characters, including all nine Hashira, and a lineup of fan-favorite demons like Akaza, Daki, and Gyutaro. Whether you’re diving into the story or going head-to-head in PvP battles, there’s plenty of variety to keep fans engaged.

Digital Deluxe Edition pre-orders are now live on PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam, with the Switch version to follow. Players who own save data from the original Hinokami Chronicles or the party game Sweep the Board! can unlock exclusive content, such as bonus characters and alternate costumes.
