Beat Saber Slashes PSVR, PSVR 2 Support

Effective immediately, Beat Saber is no longer supported on the PSVR or its successor, PSVR 2. This is certainly bitter for VR fans, but the game isn’t totally going away.

Announced on their website, Beat Saber will not receive any new songs or see any sort of update, though existing songs are still up for grabs. Meanwhile, the game will continue to be available for purchase, including with cross-buy functionality.

If you were hoping to jump in with a friend, though, you’ll want to do that sooner rather than later as come January 21, 2026, multiplayer will be shut off. Considering Beat Saber has remained a top game within the VR space as a whole, with it (boringly) topping Sony’s VR charts, it’s kind of disappointing to see it largely leave the PlayStation ecosystem.
