Ubisoft’s Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has been steadily receiving new content and updates since its launch in December 2023 and now a much-requested feature is coming. The game received positive reviews, even as it heralded the mantle of James Cameron’s Far Cry.
The team behind the game has been listening to feedback from the community and has released a brand new video confirming the title will receive a third-person mode, alongside a few other improvements and requests. You can check out the full video below.
Third-person mode has been a highly requested feature for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, even before the game was released, with many players wishing to explore Pandora from a third-person perspective and enjoy seeing their character in the world. It’s nice to see developers listening to the community and delivering, even if the update isn’t due out until December 5ht.
Alongside the optional third-person update, Ubisoft has confirmed that the title will finally get another hugely requested feature of the community, New Game Plus. The mode will act like many other new game plus modes, seeing players restart their campaign with their assembled inventory and skills, whilst being pitted against stronger enemies, but backed by a new skill tree and powerful weapons to play with.
It seems a bit odd to announce the winter update in the middle of summer, but it’ll certainly pique the interest of fans and potential buyers. The update is timed well to fall in a similar window to the next Avatar film, Avatar: Fire & Ash.
