Terminator: Survivors PS5 Version Releasing ‘At A Later Date’

Nacon Milan has announced a new Terminator game. The game will cast players in an open world four years after the fated Judgement Day, and when SKYNET took control of Earth.

During the announcement on February 29, Nacon Milan stated the game would be released on Steam Early Access in October, but stated the game would be coming to PlayStation “at a later date.”

At the moment, no gameplay has been released, but what details are known about it state it will be an open world survival affair. The game will be playable solo or cooperatively and scavenge resources to help improve your base. Survivors will be from a first person perspective and feature combat and stealth systems alongside the base building elements.

Whilst we wait for the PlayStation release date to be confirmed, fans of the franchise can thankfully still get their T800 fix on PlayStation with the PS4 game or PS5 enhanced version of Terminator: Resistance by developer Teyon.

Are you excited to see another Terminator game? Or doubtful of just how the game will turn out until a gameplay trailer is released? BE sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Mortal Kombat 1 Gets Cross-Play Feature In February

Back when Mortal Kombat 1 launched in May, there was plenty of post-launch content announced to be in the pipeline, from the star-studded season pass to the eventual release of crossplay support.

In an update video focused on the return of fighter Quan-Chi, Community Manager Tyler Lansdown let out that cross-play support between PS5, Xbox Series, and PC is coming out in a February update.

Alongside early access to Quan-Chi, which is now fully available as of December 21, a new Wi-Fi filter has been added that’ll allow players to accept or decline fights based on their opponent’s internet connection. Which feels like a must in the modern-day fighter scene.

Mortal Kombat 1 was nominated for Best Fighting at the Game Awards but ultimately lost out to long-running fighting rival Street Fighter 6. Still both games launched with plenty of high praise from critics and fans.

The update in February is likely to be one of many updates the game will receive, as game director Ed Boon revealed in a panel at Brazilian event CCXP23. In the event (via VGC), Boon confirmed that the game would receive a second part to its story mode alongside cementing that the studio will be committing support for the game for even longer than Mortal Kombat 11 received.

Are you happy to see cross-play come to Mortal Kombat 1? Have you been enjoying playing Mortal Kombat 1? Or are you holding out for the inevitable ultimate edition? Be sure to let us know below!

Spider-Man 2 Won’t Receive a New Update Until Early 2024, Studio Confirms

Those of us eagerly awaiting new content for Spider-Man 2 may need to wait a little longer as Insomniac Games has confirmed there won’t be any update until 2024. The studio cited that whilst they have been hard at work on the features they still require more time to reach the quality and standards set by the studio.

The studio did clarify some of the updates (on Twitter) that would be added in future updates, including the highly anticipated New Game+ mode. Insomniac Games also stated they had been listening to community feedback and as such have been working on other features, including replayable missions, swapping tendril colors as well as the ability to change the time of day.

Spider-Man 2 has been lauded with praise since its release and received plenty of Game of the Year award nominations. In our review, we gave the game a 9.5 out of 10 saying “It’s a quality webslinging experience that everyone should have.”

Are you disappointed about the wait time for new content? Or are you glad to hear the studio isn’t rushing it out before meeting their standards? Let us know in the comments below!

Free God Of War Ragnarok DLC Arrives Today

God of War Ragnarok’s free Valhalla DLC launches today. Yes, you heard that right. However, it may have only been announced this past weekend at the Game Awards, which saw Larian Studio’s Baldur’s Gate 3 take the top honor.

Amongst the industry celebration, Santa Monica Studios dropped a reveal trailer for God of War Ragnarok’s upcoming DLC. The announcement took a few by surprise, despite reports that the studio had been working on an expansion for the game and it would likely be revealed at December’s award show.

What may have caught more people off-guard is the fact that Valhalla DLC is a roguelite set (surprise, surprise) in Valhalla. The free expansion sees Kratos explore Valhalla alongside Mimir as they fight their way through the realm in a personal journey set after the events of Ragnarok. The studio did confirm that the expansion would be accessible without completing the game, but if you were to dive in before completing the story, you’d encounter spoilers for the base game.

Playing through Valhalla will present players with many choices such as with weapons to focus on or runic attacks to progress with. The game will have you building towards strengthening the combat choices in each run, but also earning points towards more permanent rewards. Armor in Valhalla has been confirmed to be appearance only, so feel free to flash off whatever style works for you.

Aside from the combat choices, Valhalla will also have the option of five difficulty settings to really test your mettle, with each difficulty option offering a greater challenge but also greater rewards for your effort.

Are you excited by the prospect of a God of War-themed Roguelite? Or are you just happy that there’s more Demi-God goodness to be had once again in Ragnarok? Be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

Disney Speedstorm’s Frozen inspired Season 5 Starts Tomorrow

With Winter upon us and Frozen celebrating its 10th anniversary, Gameloft has Let It Go and dropped their Frozen-themed Season 5 for Disney Speedstorm. Back on April 18, the game was released as a paid early access game that delivered the first three seasons of the game with themed content around Monsters Inc., Toy Story, and Lilo and Stitch. The game then went free to play following its official launch on September 28, alongside the Aladdin-inspired season 4 that covered October and November.

Starting November 30, season 5 will run for two months just like every other season. Season 5 will grant racers access to a brand new season pass to work through alongside new tracks set in the world of Frozen. On top of this, there’ll be eight new characters arriving on the track throughout season 5, featuring characters from Frozen (Kristoff, Olaf, Anna, Elsa, and Hans), alongside limited-timed events that will run to unlock Wall-E (Yes, he’s driving a car and we have no idea how), as well as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit and his love interest Ortensia. Certainly, there is a lot of content to get stuck into over the next few months.

Just in time for the new season, Gameloft has also provided updates to the game following the community feedback it’s received. These include limited timed events to improve racers of your choice instead of predetermined ones, alongside this, the “It All Started With A Mouse” time-limited event will allow players to earn Mickey shards all the way to level 5, instead of the previously capped level 3.

On top of events, they have addressed some balancing issues with certain racers and decreased the duration and speed loss received from rival used skills. You can find all the information on these changes inside Gameloft’s Community Pitstop.

Not sure whether to try out Disney Speedstorm? Why not check out our review of the game here. We said that it was ‘At its core, this solid kart racer does just enough to make it worth checking out.’

Robert Pattinson’s The Batman Suit Will Arrive On PlayStation “At A Later Date”

Rocksteady’s Arkham trilogy has been lauded as one of the video game’s best superhero franchises in recent memory, probably only rivaled by Insomniac’s Spider-Man games. Now, the game is set to finally make its way over to Nintendo Switch with a trilogy collection of Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, and Arkham Knight alongside a new DLC suit from Robert Pattinson’s The Batman, but what does that mean for PlayStation players?

The inclusion of The Batman suit was unveiled alongside the Nintendo Switch release of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Trilogy, releasing on December 1. However, more details about the latest DLC suit have been unveiled. The Batman suit will only be available in Arkham Knight and not the previous two games, but the latest launch trailer has also confirmed that the suit is a timed exclusive for the Nintendo console and will be making its way to other consoles “at a later date.” Though, the trilogy itself seems to be only confirmed for the Switch.

We’d wager that the timed exclusive will last a few months so that it can tie in with the release of Rocksteady’s latest DC project, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, on February 2, 2024. With the game’s release finally closing in, Rocksteady has been unveiling updates about the game, such as the map size being twice as big as Arkham Knights.

Are you bothered by The Batman suit coming to Arkham Knight so late? Are you excited about Rocksteady’s latest DC game? Be sure to let us know in the comments below.
