Need for Speed was fun but it felt a little light when it first launched.

The game's next free update will make the experience that much more robust, though, and it's right around the corner: It'll be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on December 9. Yep, today.

This will add new cars, music, collectibles, Trophies, and introduce a variety of appreciated tweaks. For instance, the REP limit gets increased to 70 and for every REP level you gain between 61 and 70, you'll unlock a new decal. There's also a big Legends update that delivers 113 new Customization Items, a new Legend (Eddie, the antagonist from Need for Speed Underground ), and several hot cars, including muscle cars like the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and Ford Mustang 1965.
