Ubisoft Announces Dates And Details For The Division Beta

It's one of the most anticipated multiplayer experiences of 2016 and if you want to test it out, here's the info.

Ubisoft has officially announced the dates and details of the multiplayer beta for Tom Clancy's The Division . It will begin on Xbox One on January 28 (PS4 and PC gets it the following day) and run through January 31.

If you want a spot in the beta, you have to pre-order the game; for now, that appears to be the only option. However, if you don't wish to pre-order but you'd still like to participate, you can sign up on the waitlist . Though honestly, if you're intrigued enough by the game to want to test it out, you should have no trouble dropping a deposit down, right? You can always cancel later if the beta is atrocious.

This test will begin on Manhattan's Chelsea Pier and take players through "early story-driven missions that establish your foothold in New York." You will also get a chance to try out the PvP Dark Zone.

The Division is slated to release on March 8 for all three aforementioned platforms. If you'd like to examine some leaked alpha footage , go right ahead.

The Alpha was brilliant. If you are unsure about the game just pre-order on Amazon then cancel the order as soon as you get the Beta code. Amazon does not charge anything until the game ships.

You MUST sign up for uPlay for this game though. =

I hate ubisoft. I hate having to preorder to get into the beta. You didnt have to preorder to get into Destiny!

If I cant get into the beta for free then screw it. This is an ONLINE MULTIPLAYER game and I aint spending no money on anything unless I know it is a good game.

First off, read first comment. Preorder, use beta code, cancel pre-order. Its free that way. Second, the game can be played by yourself. The PvP area is for better gear pretty much. You don't have to go in there at all since all the missions would be in pve areas. This is from someone who's not sold on the game. Just feels like destiny just different setting for me. I bought into destiny because it looked interesting, as is this game. But after being burned by the lack of content in destiny, I'll wait on this game. Playing the same missions over and over to get random loot… That's not content in my eyes.

Actually no you "had" to pre-order for Destiny there wasn't even a beta sign up they made you pre-order to get it then a couple weeks before they started giving out free beta codes to everyone and their grandma after already bating a bunch of people into pre-ordering.

The destiny alpha was open to everyone starting e3 that year. The beta, I got in no problem and I didn't pre-order or sign up anywhere.
