We all know it's coming at some point, but it hasn't been officially announced just yet.
That doesn't stop us from checking around to see if various retail outlets have decided to post something about a new Uncharted for the PlayStation 4. That's exactly what the GameStop Germany website did, as you can see.
It just says "Uncharted" for PS4 and there are no additional details. But the fact that the title exists at all might say something. There's the possibility that the latest installment in the award-winning franchise will be announced very soon, and prospective PS4 owners are looking forward to that day. Naughty Dog delivered another elite exclusive IP this year in The Last Of Us and now that that's out the door, one would have to assume the new Uncharted is already in the works.
Rumor was that in fact, it was in the works during development on TLoU, and the developer split up teams to work on both titles. Well, whatever, just bring us another unbelievable Drake adventure!
Great series, but I feel it needs a rest just like God of War.
Now that I think about it, I wouldn't mind playing as the Old Man (forgot his name) in his younger days. A prequel would be nice.
I don't think the launch of a new console is the time to take a break on a blockbuster IP.
I agree, it's the exclusive games that keep Sony more alive, not multiplats messing around with everything.

I see the Playstation as a platform which harbours great exclusive first party IP's. Not the platform to play Uncharted.
I don't want to see games like Uncharted relegated to crutch titles. Just look at Halo. Microsoft literally couldn't announce a new console without mentioning Halo, they weren't even announcing the game, just a "Hey look, Halo is coming…. at some point"
I want to see more new IP's. A new generation is the perfect time for a series to take a break for a few years. Create some new IP's to launch along side the new console.

Totally agree with Akuma. New generation, new IPs.
We want something that can be what Uncharted were to the PS3.
Naughty Dog have always had a different franchise since PS1 days. Crash, Jack and Daxter, Uncharted.
I wouldn't mind them having some of the team work on any of those titles. (i am aware they dont have the rights to some but overlooking that) as long as they continue working on something new.
People are always crying out for more new diversified games and I feel that Naughty Dog are at the forefront of this.
My bet is that it will be officially announced during the Spike Video Game Awards, just like all other Naughty Dog projects since 2008.
Cant wait. Enough said.
The PS4 really needs this announced as soon as possible, we all know it's in the works. Even if I couldn't dig TLoU it's totally cool that Naughty Dog can become a 2 game studio.
You couldn't dig TLoU? What are you…?
xD
An extra-terrestrial 🙂
I don't think it really NEEDS this.
Clearly the PS4 is selling well enough without it haha. With over a mill pre-orders and such.
But it would definitely get to 2 mill a lot quicker WITH this announcement. Or ANY Naughty Dog game on PS4 really.
However, as noted above, I am in the "Let it rest for a bit" camp when it comes to Uncharted.
I hope The Last Of Us win the GOTY award in VGA and at the end of the event Naughty Dog will show the trailer of the upcoming Uncharted game for the PS4. That will be epic.

Uncharted is my favorite game right beside Gow. I would say about two years it'll a releases for next Uncharted. The series is known and gives it some off time and then just as you forget about the game BAM! ND announces a new game in the series. I'd rather have it that way other than cod and ac. Too many games to stay stuck on one series, not enough time to play.
I wonder if Uncharted or God of War will come first to PS4? I'm most excited to see what they do next in The Last of Us, which in my opinion is the best of all of them and offers TONS of amazing story possibilities. But i'm sure it'll be at least a couple of years until we get that game considering the first just launched earlier this summe.
New IP's are awesome, I was pleasantly THRILLED with the TLOU, but the thought of getting an Uncharted sooner rather than later for the PS4 makes this gamer happy, because I know that ND is a developer that rarely cuts corners and puts their ALL into game development, unlike some developers…ahem…who live for yearly sequels. The only thing that might make me happier; a sequel for Red Dead Redemption!
Time to give long running series a rest. Uncharted played itself out for 5 years or so. Time to move on. As was mentioned above… so too God of War.
Prolonging a series like this, as golden as it is as a series, no need to drain it of its soul until you get every single bit of out of it.
New system, new games, new stories, new series.
Less boring for the debs, more creativity for them, fresher and interesting games. Well… one hopes.
Keep playing!
Should they make an Uncharted 4? To quote Drake himself, "No no no no no no no no!" Seriously, it's done. Let it rest before the crimps in the formula that riddled UC3 become full on glaring faults.
well i think alot of people will be excited for the nxt installment of the series. i'd like to see what its got to offer
happy gaming =)
Naughty Dog is working on SOMETHING for PS4.
There have been rumours of background images in dev diary's which feature character models not seen in ANY ND game to date.
Also, Kotaku recently posted an article with a picture of 3 pallets of PS4 dev kits, which were being sent to Naughty Dog.
Thanks for the down vote blank line guy.
Not really sure what part of my comments you disagree with, as you always down vote me. But that's okay. Haters gonna hate.
bigger question is what will release first, U4 or TLOU2?
im hoping the latter, as fun as uncharted is it just does not give the rollercoaster ride TLOU does.
plus were pretty well catered for the mindless typical hollywood michael bay oooooo look at that pretty fireball flick!
