False start by Capcom.
Earlier today, a teaser trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter V made the rounds after landing on YouTube. But not long after, the publisher set the video to private.
You can find some captured stills at NeoGAF and it does appear as if the new installment isn't coming to Xbox platforms. The game is set for PlayStation 4 and PC and supposedly, we'll learn more tonight at the PlayStation Experience. If it is only headed to PS4 and PC, that's pretty important for Sony, especially considering the franchise's legendary status in the industry.
The last few iterations have been pretty great, too. Who's up for another round of Street Fighter ?!
Related Game(s): Street Fighter V
Ouch, first Guilty Gear and now this, fighting game aficionados on XBone must be blaming the day the bought that instead of a PS4 xD

I'm still sadden about Killer Instinct. 🙁
This is really confusing… It's not going to be on Xbox One… but it will be on Microsoft for PC… this wont last! Just wait for the Super, Ultra Editions to come out in 2016 and it'll be on Xbox One – This game is guaranteed to have more editions released after the initial release, so there is no way I am buying this game at launch.
so could this be the mystery game[consoles] for ps4?Oops….
We're talking about Capcom aka raping people with DLC. If true, probably temporary.
Visuals look great tho. I was able to watch it before it went down.
Im sure Super Street Fighter 5 will be on all platforms. Its a kind of timed exclusivity
I call this just like the new tomb raider game on XBox1 only
Oops too soon….
Dayyyyyyym. Finally, it's been dropped!
I really don't get any joy whatsoever from enjoying third party exclusives that the "other" guys don't have, and I've been ticked off a number of times when such arrangements keep third party games I'm mildly interested in from appearing on my platform of choice. Having said that, I would have been MAD if I couldn't play the new Street Fighter, so better you miss out than me, XBoners 🙂
All about this. Can't wait to go toe-to-toe with a few in the PSX community 🙂
What I hate more is that these third parties cant keep their mouth shut for another day. They know sony is having a big show tomorrow, then crapcom goes off to get their early trailer release
Looks like SFIV to me… Some poor looking graphics.
I just can't get excited for fighting games anymore. Every time one comes out it's a matter of time before the "Ultra" or "Ultimate" or whatever edition comes out with new characters and DLC. I hate buying the same game again or DLC that adds up costing as much as a whole new game. I used to live for fighting games but now there's no reason to get excited for a new release.
Fighting games were always like that a couple of new characters some balance and new stages music, bam! new game, the thing it's we usually played them on Arcades so we didn't have to buy new editions but now times changed.
Competitive fighting games aren't for you my brother, just don't buy them. If you ever feel the itch, then buy them towards the end of the gen.
Cool news about SF:V
not pleased about the prospect of it being console exclusive to PS4 though. I really hope that has nothing to do with Sony.
I know that Ono said there wasn't a budget for street fighter. He said it awhile ago when people asked when the next numbered game was releasing. So maybe sony put some money up or they had japan studios help. Guess we won't know till later today or tomorrow.
Yes I can see MS not caring much about SF and focusing on having Dead Rising as a XBone exclusive because Zombies are still a hot thing.

This 3rd party support from Capcom is awesome. Reminds me of way back in the PS2 era when Capcom games were either exclusive to Playstation, or mainly played on Playstation. Deep Down, secret IP, SSF5, and whatever comes next.
Bringing Barry back was smart too. Capcom is trying to mend its wounds now, and unlike Square Enix, Capcom is going backwards in time and trying to make up for what they've been doing lately. So I tip my hat off to them for doing something so bold. Splitting up a fighting game community to show support to the main people who buy your games is an amazing thing for any 3rd party developer to do. They lose money in that, sure, but they don't seem to be just doing something without planning ahead first. Whether or not this is timed or not just shows Sony is rekindling the bonfires with its old friends and partners. Yay
Game looks cool too.
I am really starting to hate these timed and exclusivity deals. Because it could have gone the other way.
well this annoucement was unexpected and interesting to say the least not sure where this is going
happy gaming
