John-ShepardIf you didn't already know, Bloodborne is only coming to the PlayStation 4.
Many new titles that arrive early on in a new generation are often cross-generational, in that they're available for the new and old consoles. But developer From Software says this wasn't an option for their new vision.
In speaking to PlayStation LifeStyle , game director Hidetaka Miyazaki said that in order to deliver the game he pictured, they required the power of Sony's new console:
"I always wanted to make a game set in the Victorian era, but to make it look good—with all the clothing and the architecture and things—required a console more powerful than the ones that were around. The arrival of the PS4 finally gave us that. Bloodborne isn’t a game that could have been cross-generation, it was only possible on PS4."
Many gamers say that a production isn't truly "next-gen" unless the title in question was designed specifically for the new hardware. If it has to release on the older consoles, this means developers are inherently limited. There's some truth to that, of course. We'll start seeing more new projects only for PS4 and Xbox One in 2015; in addition to BloodBorne , there are games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , The Order: 1886 , etc.

And The Order 1886. My favorite era in history aside from the Fedual era is the Industrial era. That point in time where guns weren't the end all of combat, and traveling was all done via trains. Totally awesome.

yeah knight i would have to agree. all the inventing and production going on at the time was crazy i do love me that time period and the game actually looks pritty awsome after i had a second look at it

After passing level 300 on Dark Souls 2, I've stopped playing it for awhile so as the months go by, I'm looking forward to making the jump to this and The Witcher 3 from Far Cry 4.
This winter will definitely define next generation for me. I know this is one of the those games that I will be playing Saturday and Sunday morning with a nice cup of coffee and nice warm blanket.

Blah blah this is bull shait. The talents and wilingness is the limit. Simple fact – PC is more capable then PS4.
And I'm writing this as a ps4 fan.
I think he was just referring to consoles (last gen versus current gen).
PC will *always* be better than any console out there. Even before a future console is released, the PC is already more capable in terms of graphics and performance. Its not really a fair comparison.
