Sony Computer Entertainment Inc. also announced that PlayStation Now (PS Now), the company's streaming game service that leverages cloud-based technology, will be available on the PS3 and PS4 this summer. It will come to the Vita a little later.
Sony Bravia TVs will also support PS Now and eventually, Sony will bring the service to other platforms and Sony devices, which will ultimately allow users to stream PlayStation games on numerous Internet-connected devices. Such a service is quite diverse; for instance, it will let PS4 users in the living room keep playing a game on their PS3 in the bedroom. The service will also support many other features, such as online multiplayer, Trophies and messages. Said President and Group CEO of SCE Inc., Andrew House:
"We are thrilled to deliver entertainment experiences only possible from PlayStation through our new streaming game service. PS Now will allow users to engage in the world of PlayStation, whether they're existing fans or have never owned a PlayStation platform."
Before this service officially launches, SCE will kick off a beta test on PS3 systems in "certain regions of the United States," starting at the end of this month. For more, visit the PlayStation website .
