These days, you just gotta have top-notch voiceover talent for video games. If not, your product simply won't stack up.
So hey, how's about making a Spider-Man game that features a bunch of actors who have all voiced the web-slinging hero in one form or another? The new iteration, Shattered Dimensions , was a prominent fixture at the San Diego Comic-Con event and Activision has revealed that Neil Patrick Harris will reprise his starring role in the game. Although he's done plenty since the '90s, most everyone will always equate Harris with "Doogie Howser, MD." In addition, we'll get the voice talents of Christopher Daniel Barnes, Dan Gilvezan and Josh Keaton, all of whom have helped bring Spider-Man to life in a bunch of animated TV shows. In Shattered Dimensions , players will travel through four distinct worlds – Ultimate, Noir, Amazing, and 2099 – and it's already shaping up to be a great title for 2010. It's set to launch on September 7 and it'll be available for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC, so all you Spidey fans should probably pre-order and insure you get a copy on launch day. Yeah, we know you superhero buffs.
We've had quite a few decent Spider-Man games in the past but we're expecting "the next level" from the new effort.
