Add Batman: Arkham Duo Remastered To Your Holiday Wish List?

Yes, another headline with the word "remastered" in it.

It seems IGN Italy has the inside scoop on a new upgraded collection, and this one features two of the best-received games of the previous generation.

We're talking about the possibility of Batman: Arkham Duo Remastered , which would deliver updated editions of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners. Presumably, this enticing compilation will be ready to go by Christmas, and it's interesting to note that Batman: Arkham Origins , the third entry, has been left out of the mix. Well, no matter, it was a significant step back in the eyes of many, anyway.

For the record, publisher Warner Bros. hasn't formally announced anything. It seems perfectly plausible, though. And don't forget that Batman: Arkham Knight , the new adventure with original developer Rocksteady back at the helm, is set to launch in June.

Related Game(s): Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City

Good to see some fresh new games coming out on the horizon.

This one is a hard sell because I've played them both to death on PC. Where I already have 1080p at 60fps.

At this point I'm feeling like maybe games that were exclusive to PS3 and games that were exclusive to 360 are the only games that might deserve a remaster version as there is a possibility of new players that jumped from MS to Sonys console and viceversa… Multiplat games like this one really don't need a remaster as they were released on both consoles and played by a lot of ppl and it's better if they just focus on something new

I suppose it makes sense for people who skipped the 7th gen or those who were stuck with a wii,but to me all these remaster prove that the 8th gen consoles arrived 2yrs to early!

In defense of these remasters I think it does say something about how far gaming has come. Have any of you been to a Target, Walmart, or Toys R Us and seen those classic game systems bundled with like 30 games? Systems like the Sega Genesis, Intellivision, Atari 2600 etc? Sure. There's some nostaglic fun for a few of the titles but the vast majority of them are crap, where no one would care for a sequel, let alone remaster.

Having critically acclaimed games of our era re-release is a testament to how significant games have become.
No one back then would go ape crap for a remake for Asteroids like gamers would for something like FFVII.

It makes sense to have the PS3's 3rd party games come to the PS4 since a lot of them weren't made at the same level as the 360. But in this case it doesn't matter since I already own both on PC, which no matter what you say, has better graphics than the PS4.

I generally like special editions, remasters, etc., of games I really like, even newer ones like this. It just still bothers me a lot that neither PS4 nor X1 are backwards compatible. I like buying the best version of games — or movies, or books — that I really like. It just seems wrong in light of the fact that the systems don't play the versions I already paid for.

as much as i loved those games…its not cool seeing all these publishers remaster every single game on the next gen systems.

its like hey why didnt we do the same from ps2 to ps3. video game companies are starting to turn into hollywood, just remake every single thing
