A few items of interest from Andriasang this week, starting with "The End" for Yakuza .
An ad placed on the opening page in the recent Famitsu makes one thing very clear: the city we know so well in the Yakuza series, Kamurocho, might be finished. The ad is in regards to the currently unannounced new title, and it may play into series producer Toshihori Nagoshi's recent comments about implementing a "destruction" theme of some kind. Perhaps they'll clear all this up at next month's Tokyo Game Show. Next up is the obvious Japanese fascination for Square-Enix's The 3rd Birthday and more specifically, heroine Aya Brea. She has landed on the front cover of the latest Dengeki magazine, and they even analyze the ring on her finger. Apparently, it's not a wedding ring, but it might have something to do with her lost memories and nightmares she suffers from. We also have more gameplay details for the upcoming PSP game, including two Aim Modes, hints from allies, and the different forms of "Twisted" enemies. We're definitely looking forward to this one, and we also applaud Aya's return.
As for that mysterious Yakuza ad, it may or may not indicate the end of the franchise. Perhaps it's only referring to that one city, and the theme behind the new title. We'll just have to wait and see.
