Do you ever wish you owned your own little piece of paradise? A little oasis somewhere to call your own to while away the days just chillin’, catching some fish, and decorating your island home? If the answer is yes to any of the above, town building sim Castaway Paradise might just tick all those boxes.
Created by Stolen Couch Games, Castaway Paradise takes its influence from the Animal Crossing series. As explained by Product Manager and Game Designer Eric Diepeveen on the Playstation Blog :
The story is simple: you’ve been caught up in a storm, and now find yourself washed up on the shores of a quiet island in the middle of the ocean. You’re covered in seaweed when you wake up to see a friendly stranger looking down at you. This time, being shipwrecked might just be a stroke of luck!
In the game you’ll be hunting and exploring, farming and fishing to earn money to buy from a huge range of items, furniture and clothing. Even just walking along the beach can be profitable as you collect items that have washed up on the shore.
The game also takes a lot of influence from different cultures from all over the world:
We’ve taken inspiration from events, cultures, and styles from around the world. Whether you want to show your love of soccer, hold a traditional Chinese tea party, or even turn a room of your house into a hospital ward, you have freedom to mix and match.
So why not take a break and get stranded on your own Castaway Paradise on your PS4 July 31st.
