We haven't seen all the big games that might be scheduled for this year's holiday season. There are likely many PS4 launch titles that currently remain unannounced.
Is this one of them? Japan Studio, who is already prepping the PS4 launch game Knack , has released a new trailer for another project, which looks all sorts of ambitious and intriguing.
It's called Panopticon and it boasts a vibrant cel-shaded palette. We're apparently in futuristic London, where humans are branded with ID numbers and giant dragons threaten the populace. There doesn't appear to be any gameplay in this video, as it's mostly story-related cut-scenes, but we're still intrigued. A countdown at the title's teaser site ends on May 21, which means we can probably expect a full unveiling then. Perhaps not coincidentally, May 21 is the day Microsoft will officially announce the new Xbox.
We always said Sony would have to make several announcements to keep the PS4 hype train speeding along after the Xbox 720 was revealed. Maybe Panopticon will help in that capacity…

Looks cool and unique. Japan Studio just doesn't get enough praise. They do lots of cool games.
Looks alright, but that trailer was just cutscenes, will you be controlling the mechs Zone of the Enders style or will you be controlling the people in a 3rd person action a style? Still it has some flare.
Got the feeling it s gonna be a game like monster hunter .A Party based monster hunt game .
Looks more linear to me, western gameplay maybe.
I'm intrigued.
hey is that your car from your avatar?
Wow, this actually has me considering buying a PS4.
The art style looks a lot like the Shin Megami: Digital Devil saga games. Which I really loved.
I wonder what kind of gameplay this will have.
AN ANIME GAME!!!! *puts money away in a sock*
No idea what this is but I heard it was a vita game. I'm not a vita owner but the thing does need note games, pretty sure the ps4 will do just fine. But seriously, Japan studios has a lot on its plate atm. Why is studio Japan so small? Most of Sony's studios are western, its backwards. I look forward to more info on this.
A french site lists the game as a Vita title.

wish japan studio would give us a ape escape sequel, or even another game like ICO.
its a shame they really havent put out many titles this gen, there such a talented creative studio we need to see far more work from them!
maybe there the prime candidate for a 2 studio approach like what ND has recently adjusted to.
That game look kind of freaking sweet!
Hope it comes west, as well.
