Ben-Dutka"Hey, where'd my car go…?" I've said that once, but I thought I might've been mis-remembering that I had parked a car in Michael's garage.
Actually, it appears to be a common bug in the newly released Grand Theft Auto V . And according to the Rockstar Games Support page , the developer has acknowledged an issue where cars and upgraded vehicles have been disappearing from garages.
This can happen especially after upgrading a vehicle, doing a mission, and then saving that vehicle in one of the character's home garages. Unfortunately, for the time being, there's no way to get that vehicle back, but Rockstar is working on it:
"Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing. Also please note that vehicle saves in the garage of one safehouse may not show up in the garage of a different safehouse."
Okay, well, I never expected the latter to happen, anyway. But if someone dumps a bunch of money into their ride and finds out it has disappeared, they're not gonna be happy. So, while Rockstar works on this, they've suggested that you should simply avoid parking cars in a garage. That's simple enough. Massive open-world games so often have bizarre bugs like this (just ask The Elder Scrolls fans), but we're still hoping they fix this little snafu sooner rather than later.

I've had this happen a couple of times and put off any vehicular upgrades. I even stole a boat on a trailer. It fit into the garage but the next time I went to take the boat out only the truck remained, the boat was gone!
That may or may not be a bug; if it doesn't fit right in the garage, the game may erase it. I suspect that if it were the bug's fault, both the truck and boat would be gone.
Yeah, I wasn't too upset when the boat was gone, I also wasn't able to tow it into LS Customs either.
Yes I had this problem when I saved a Weasel News TV fan from a mission into my garage, it wasn't there the next day. Not sure if I can ever get that again too… Nothing game breaking mind you there are enough vehicles on the map…
Bugs can be fun too. The half human half donkey which you get to ride in red dead. Or the crazy Guy that attacks you like a bobcat. I think some bugs in rockstar games are like bonuses

Not the kind that erase the car you spent money on I think though.
the garage bug is a hit and miss, it has been for me.
i'll goto a safehouse garage, my cars will be there.
the next time they'll be gone.
That's the least of their troubles. I almost lost a mission because the world started disappearing. Eventually, I was able to salvage the mission. The bug testers obviously didn't do a thorough job of stamping out the glitches.
Early on in the game, Michael comes home to see Amanda standing on the kitchen counter and Tracy on the couch. Was there a mission where Michael had to kill a mouse in the house?

The only thing I've ran into so far is when I recently wrecked a bike and flew through the wall. I was standing under the ground about 40 or 50 feet. I couldn't find a way out, so I switched to a different character. When I switched back I was in the subway tunnels.
This is why i hardly buy games on launch day anymore
It happened to me too, but they re appeared after a few missions…i was happy because it was my spaceship buggy and aftermarket 2 door Cadillac. Gotta do more of the money glitch before its patched.
I somehow imagine this exact bug has been in an earlier GTA too? There's something extremely familiar about it…

wish R* would let you park anywhere, or even better these guys have mansions so why not actually have a massive garage?
a 2 car garage is so stupid!
at first i thought if you park a car behind michaels wifes car because her car never disappears it would save that as well, but a fully specced out infectus says otherwise.

o, another weird thing whats with the car parks?
every one ive gone into has been freaking deserted!
like isent the point of a car park to be a place to you know park your car!?
