As announced at Bethesda's blog , all downloadable content for the PS3 version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will arrive next month. Yes, it took a while.
Dragonborn will be first on the list, Hearthfire comes next, and it'll be capped off by Dawnguard. It's unfortunate that we don't have specific release dates for each, but it's enough to know that February is right around the corner. Furthermore, the publisher revealed that it will release the 1.8 update for Skyrim PS3 next month as well. As an extra incentive to pick up these expansions, all of them will be 50% off during their launch week on the PlayStation Store, so take advantage of that.
Last year, Bethesda released frequent updates saying they were still working on bringing DLC to the PS3 version of the award-winning RPG. Now that it's finally coming, are the fans satisfied? Or is it just too late?

Finally. I'm glad they did something for the ps3 users… This however should have never happened.
Still I already bought some of the dlc for the pc version. (I bought the ps3 version of the game but my brother bought the pc version and I put the code into my steam)
So Idk if I would jump on this or not.
It might be a great way to start the game over though. Or I could wait for a GOTY edition.
How much with the 50% off?
Around 22.50 or so. 20 each for two of them and one of them was 5. Still too much for this buggy mess. No thanks, Bethesda maybe next time you should ask naughty dog or Sony Santa Monica for help.
I actually still own Skyrim and stopped playing it 4 hours or so in as soon as I heard about the save game bug. Maybe I will pick this up. To much to play now though. Ni No Kuni will consume my gaming time until Dead Space 3 releases.
Since the patches it has been a lot better, I'm at about 80 hours and no slowdown.
You really shouldn't listen to all the people complaining about the bugs, it has been blown way out of proportion and it is not a 'broken' game as some have said. I'm well over 100 hours into it and have experienced only minor bugs and the patches have fixed most of those.
Aye, I'm 100+ hours in and no trouble – it's frozen twice. Just remember to take autosave off, and save manually. The bugs in Skyrim were ironed out after January last year, but it hasn't been able to shake its bad press from then.
Very cool thanks everyone! That is why I kept my copy of Skyrim. I knew I would go back to it. I have just been so into other games that at times I forgot I had Skyrim. For the time I played I loved it! I will get back into during the slow season after The Last of Us!
Played for 150 hours. Never ONCE encountered that issue.
It really is luck of the draw, it only affected a relatively small percentage of people.
Not interested until a GOTY version comes along.
Same here, whenever I see a Bethesda game I want now, I already know that it's worthwhile to wait for the GOTY..by the time they come out, a lot of the bugs are worked out and it's like you get the DLC for free!
I was so excited for this game when it just came out. I'm glad I read the reviews for the PS3 version. Now that everything seems to be fixed, I'll pick up the Game of the Year edition later on…used. I'll let my wallet do the talking.
I'd buy it when I get the money. But just my luck it would be riddled with game killing bugs.

I'm afraid that over 2 years is a bit late to wait for DLC. I lost hope around the middle of this year and traded my copy in. I know for a fact that my DLC will be much more than 50% off when I purchase a used GOTY copy for my 360 in another year or so. Sorry Beth, but you should've gotten the act together much sooner.
Ah cool, my buddy is gonna be so happy about Hearthfire, I will probably grab that too as I have 4 bucks stuck in my PSN wallet and nothing to do with it.
For half price? Sound deal. Still doesn't interest me though. I've had my fill of Skyrim and am not interested in venturing back any time soon. Maybe if they do a GotY release at some point…
I put in over 240 hours in to Skyrim. When I found out that the DLC wasn't coming I sold it.. I pretty much had done everything and was just doing side quests anyway.
I heard that the DLC was coming a while ago and that it was pretty certain we would get it, so I decided to pick it up again, and you know.. its still freakin awesome. if its not your thing fair play.
The patches have also totally sorted it out and it works very well as far as I can see. my saves are now 2MB not 13! glitches are really minimal and overall I cant fault it.
so I have started it again with another character, going after the skills I didn't max out with my dark elf, doing tasks differently this time, and seeing things I never saw before… the game is superb!
my point here is that if any of you out there think even remotely like we could be on the same page then there is no reason to not get the DLC, life is too short to make a stand and miss out having fun, after all.. this is why we're gamers.. to have fun.
I used to think we could make a difference, make a stand against game companies.. it used to be evil EA and people would stop buying their games. but it never stopped them making the same decisions, so I figure if I don't want it then I don't have to buy it, if I want it then I will buy it, pretty damn simple.
so imo its not too late, I have had a total blast with Skyrim the first time round, since then I have played some wicked games and now I'm back to play through again and pick up the DLC to play either with my old character or the new one. its a win win situation for me, 50% off too… you would be crazy not to.

I played Skyrim for over 350 hours, and traded it in nearly a year ago. This hatchet job is far too little, far too late.
I will likely never buy a Bethesda developed game unless it's a GOTY edition for $20 or less. They have been coding software for the PS3 as long as just about anyone, and it is inexcusable how big of a fiasco they turned this into.
I bet you money that a pair of orangutans could be trained to code PS3 games better than the current staff at Bethesda.

Too late, no cigar I'm not coughing up money to Bethseda especially with how long it took them to bring out the DLC. I will beat the game normally and then stray towards the multitude of other games I have pending.
As mad as I have been about the whole thing, I still have every intention of tearing into this DLC. I am thrilled things finally worked out. I'll admit to still having reservations about the whole debacle, but I can let it all go provided the DLC really and truly sees the PS3.
