Okay, it was close again but at least we don't have to do a tiebreaker round. 🙂
The latest winner of our patented So You Think You Can Review Video Games user review contest is Gorilla Biscuit for his excellent analysis of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , which will soon arrive on the main page as an official guest review.
I have a few extra goodies, too, so if he wants to email me at bdutka[at]psxextreme.com , I can hook him up with something cool. As for the rest of the nominated participants, congrats and we hope you give it another try. Remember, you only have to make the final cut of the top 10 to get into the poll, and the more you submit, the better chance you have… Of course, that's assuming you take it upon yourself to get a little better with each attempt; we'd like to think this is a learning process as well as entertainment.
This week, the obvious question: What did you think of E3 2012? Happy? Underwhelmed? Totally disappointed? In our estimation, there were plenty of top-notch games on display, even if we missed out on a few ( The Last Guardian , Final Fantasy Versus XIII , etc.) and really, we can wait on the next-gen hardware.
Congrats, Gorilla Biscuit, and congrats to World and Sensei Temjin. World and Temjin were ebbing each other out for the lead earlier in the week at 24% each, and GB pulled out ahead from 16%. Interesting race, and great reads.
I voted for World and was extremely biased in my reasoning.
I appreciate that my friend.
Same here. We could be ashamed of each other, instead of ourselves.
I'm willing to go first…
(ahem) ….I'm so ashamed of you LV.

I could never be ashamed of you Tes and I usually have no shame so it's a perfect combination!
Congrats!
Congratulations to the winner. Though I have no clue who you are.
I've been a member for the a while, though mayhaps never the most vocal, though I did offer an opinion from time to time (remember the red and later blue PS3?), so tbh I don't know how many people remember me or my epicly close attempt at that TH edition of Uncharted 2 some odd years later (avatar pic ftw…).
That being said, my first entry review didn't even make the list for the vote. I may not have won, I didn't think I would tbh… I made the list this time, and not only that, people voted for me (and I didn't vote for myself, it would violate my code of honor and of fair competition). I call that a victory! Ben said it was up to the members to pick the winner, but only the best of the submissions would be put in the poll. I'm happy I made the list this time.
Congrats Gorilla Biscuit on your victory. I say it and I mean it, and I intend to read and observe your review your review, to learn from it. This is by no means my last hurrah, you will see me again, though technically DD is the only new game I was able to get immediately (and the last for a while too… broke college student remember [props to whomever remembers what I major]?) so from here on I can only review what's already in my collection. 🙁
Still I'll keep writing I think, on top of my schoolwork, at least learning how to review video games is fun imo, and it's a learning experience. I look forward to the next… maybe I can improve to the point where I can can get a job doing it, haha. That'd never hurt. Lol, I'll apply for a position like that and ask to use Ben for a reference. What do you say Sir Dutka? 😛
Well, technically, references can only come from employers and we wouldn't qualify. 🙂
But there's no doubt that doing something like this is a good learning experience. And besides, it's a FUN learning experience.
Haha, it never hurts to try right? 😛
Though I did use that bit as a joke, considering how things go you will see my name in the industry some day, and hell, maybe for one of your giveaways you'll be handing out a review or retail copy of a game I work on. 😉
That sounds like a reasonable personal goal, doesn't it? Lol, hopefully it's a Playstation exclusive. (I'm totally biased…) 😛
What did you think of this year's E3?
– Awesome, it had everything I wanted!
– Pretty good, I enjoyed most of the show.
– Okay, but I was a little underwhelmed.
– Disappointing, I was really bored.
Well, all of them, really.
I only wanted TLOU, so I guess it was awesome. I enjoyed most of the show because of the release date of the new GOW and unvieling of Beyond. I was underwhelmed with the rest of the show. And through some of the underwhelming parts i.e 'Wonderbook', I was bored – which I guess, in turn, made me somewhat disappointed.
Add them all up and you get the 3rd option. xD

I don't know man… E3 used to be more about the gamers. Now it's more about who's company's console is more than just a gaming platform… When I was younger it was the glitz and glamour of a combination of booth babes plus the excitement of new games and stuff that was both innovative and interesting that always made me want to go to E3 someday. My interest in booth babes took a back seat of course…
Now, I still want to go to E3, but my motivations have changed, because quite frankly I don't see enough of the innovative interesting stuff associate with gaming. I mean it was nice to get more info on some stuff that was originally kept to a minimum, but I knew enough about it already… it didn't feel fresh except in a couple scenarios.
All in all I feel like you Liam about this year's E3…
Congrats!
the real challenge now is to send me your copy of Starhawk!
can you do it?
=p
