The launch lineup for the PlayStation 4 hasn't received glowing accolades. But that's okay; we all know that the best is yet to come.
For instance, before yesterday, Naughty Dog hadn't announced their mystery next-gen project. We all assumed it was the new Uncharted but it wasn't exactly official…and now it is.
Uncharted is indeed headed to Sony's new console, but we don't know anything beyond that. The teaser trailer Sony released only features a look at a map and a piece of voice work (and it doesn't sound like Drake). Here's hoping the anticipated title arrives for the holidays in 2014; that would give the PS4 a much-needed boost, wouldn't you say? You should also expect to see a bit more about Uncharted in the coming months; seeing this game on the PS4 is gonna give you chills. That's what this studio does .
Naughty Dog also announced the Left Behind single-player downloadable content for The Last Of Us . Ellie seems to be the lead this time around, and her friend is Riley; the narrative appears to expand upon the story in the American Dreams comic . Gotta love the single-player DLC!

I'm a little bummed that TLOU DLC was Ish's story but now I'm hoping that they make him his own game! 🙂
Yeah I was also intrigued by Ish and his little fight for survival.
The Ish story was so perfect, and so perfectly heartbreaking, I'm almost happy they didn't do it. Could it possibly live up to expectations?
Having said that, I'd downloaded that stuff day one if they did 🙂
Because he's specifically not in the DLC, I'm hoping that he'll be in TLOU 2!
Geez I had not thought of Ish. That would have been a good direction to see what happened. Who knows, maybe that will make it to another game.

I shall be picking up a PS4 for this in nov2014 i suppose.
Its not Uncharted 4, its Uncharted. The first uncharted was drakes fortune so the fact this has no title means we may get a new cast and it may be a darker tale like TLOU. Naughty Dog is moving forward, and I think i'm going to love them even more now.
It could be "Uncharted: Subtitle" to avoid the fatigue of putting a number after every title. Doesn't necessarily mean a new cast, though that could be the case.
It's like Indiana Jones, I think. You really don't need to to number the entries since it pushes newcomers away because they're not getting in on the ground floor, and the stories stand alone and only have loose ties to one another.
I think it would be awesome for this one to simply be "uncharted." But my money is on a subtitle of some kind.
Cant imagine they would get rid of the face of Sony. Drake moved in and is here to stay.
Yep, my hope is we are done with Drake as he lives happily ever after with the others. Something new would be nice with some fresh characters.

Ugh. I hope ND has something new coming to the PS4 other that this. Cuz if its just another Uncharted game I hope it has new characters unrelated to Drake. That story has played out. Granted Sony is probably paying them to keep the franchise going. God knows many gamers what the same old franchise throughout their lifetime. Uncharted 3 ending was a bit of let down (minus the sunset cutscene).
Hopefully its a brand new series of characters if they are. Just do not want the same old same. And pirates don't count… if thats where they are headed. Problem is…. its ND and it will probably be a frigging good game too. :/
And I just knew the DLC for Last of Us was the whole Riley story which we all know how it turns out. Its going to have to be a miss for me…. unless the reviews say its not as predictable a story as it appears to be. Bill was an interesting and fun character. Like to know what happened to him. To me thats more interesting and would be fun. Ah well.
Regardless, if you cannot get enough of these games, well, I guess this is good news. I know ND won't disappoint you. Whether its what you want or not… ND produces the quality.

Man im excited for both, but a new Uncharted being mentioned made my PS4 purchase that much more gratifying. I cant wait!
The TLoU expansion sounds pretty cool. I think it'll be interesting to see the way that Ellie and Riley got infected and how Ellie had to watch her friend go mad while she remained sane. It's a good choice, but I still think there are a lot more stories hinted at throughout the game that could be just as good, if not better.
Uncharted 4… I really didn't want it all that much, but that doesn't mean I won't be getting it. The series is one of the best and that is enough to sell me on it every time. I would like to think that the voiceover in that video is this game's historical figure. Can anyone think of a famous explorer (or similar figure) who spent 15 years in exile and was connected to the southern parts of Africa? Could it be Livingstone, or Burton and Speke? Maybe it is just an enemy of Nate's though. I'd like to think not.
