Would You Play Star Wars: Battlefront If It Got A Campaign?

Ever since John Boyega asked EA about a campaign for the game, I've been wondering:

I mean, I know it won't happen, but if DICE magically delivered a true single-player campaign for Star Wars: Battlefront , would it trigger a rush of new sales?

That may sound ridiculous but I personally know a lot of people who didn't buy this game because it didn't feature an actual campaign. I know EA tries to pass off those Missions as a "campaign" but we all know that doesn't qualify, and avid franchise lovers remain disappointed. We're talking about people who would probably buy anything with the "Star Wars" label on it and yet, they avoided Battlefront simply because they want a narrative and not merely a series of maps.

Of course, it's not like EA lost money on the deal; at the start of this year, analysts predicted the game had already sold 12-13 million copies , which is pretty damn good after having been at market for less than seven weeks. Even so, a real single-player campaign might cause fans to look upon the title as something entirely new; it wouldn't be viewed as just another add-on. Not everyone on the planet wants multiplayer and only multiplayer, and I have found that "Star Wars" fans especially want a story to go along with the action.

The foundation is certainly there; it's just a matter of adding a decent plot. And the thing is, we don't need anything too long, nor we do need a brilliant script. Frankly, no "Star Wars" script has ever been "brilliant" and the fans don't even want brilliant; they just want something very Lucas-like that screams "Star Wars." Boyega and others would very much appreciate a campaign, that's all I'm saying.

I think I&#39d rather wait for the ps2 classic of BF2. Seriously, that game was the perfect Star Wars game, in my opinion.

Totally only multiplayer is a NO to me and especially a Star Wars game, should have a quite lengthy single player experience..
P.S. What the heck they were thinking off when cancelling the 1313??
stupid decisions cost money, Disney should know best

Yeah, but only once it drops down to $20 new, just because of them screwing the SW gaming fan base.

I&#39m probably one of the few that&#39s still enjoying this game even without campaign … o_0

But, having a single player story sure would be a nice treat!!! <3

id play it regardless if they add campaign. id like to see what changes they made if theyre gonna start annualizing the game

I&#39d pick it up again for a campaign. But its gotta be worthwhile as in a full blown experience.

Of course the sales for the game won&#39t make them see that it needs a campaign. However, I&#39m hopeful some of the consumer comments have suggested to them otherwise for next time.

I would definitely play a single player campaign if it happened.

I bought it, played it for a while, and shelved it. That game so desperately needs a campaign. It has been my biggest video game disappointment and biggest waste of money of the PS4 generation.

It&#39s a beautifully crafted authentic feeling Star Wars universe, with garbage gameplay. Contrary to what EA wanted us to think, this game was NOT for the fans at all.

But we know it will never happen. It&#39s like talking about what you&#39d do if you won the lottery; Fun to think about, but it&#39ll never happen.

I still play every other week or so. Usually just Heros vs Villains, which is my favorite mode of the whole game, or the Rouge Squadron mode, which just really makes me wish they would do a new campaign for that series.

I&#39d go buy it right now if it had a campaign mode. No story mode was the reason I didn&#39t buy it
