PlayStation Now Beta Invites Going Out

When PlayStation Now was announced earlier this month, we learned that a beta test would be rolling out soon.

Sony has started sending the first wave of beta invites for the new streaming service, which is designed to bring PS3 games to your PS4, Vita, phone, tablet, or Bravia TV. The only question is- have you seen your invite yet?

If you did, you have to accept Sony's beta license agreement, and then you'll receive more info "in the coming days." Interestingly, they also recommend that participants connect their PS3 to the Internet via a wired connection that registers at least 5Mbps. As for Now, it's a Netflix-style streaming subscription service designed specifically with gamers in mind. By the way, this beta is only available to US residents (at least for the time being.).

PlayStation Now should be ready to go this summer. If you're looking for older classics from the PS1 and PS2 generations, a recent report claims those will come to the PS4 via local emulation .
