Frank-ProvoMidway Games just assailed the ol' inbox with a note announcing that Mortal Kombat: Deception, the next installment in the super-violent fighting game franchise, has "gone gold" and will to ship to stores on time for both the PlayStation 2 and the Xbox on Monday, October 4th.
The standard version of the game will retail for a suggested price of $49.99. A Limited Edition package of the game will retail for $59.99 and include a bonus disc loaded with interviews, video clips, and character bios, as well as a fully playable arcade-perfect port of Mortal Kombat (the original game).
