The intriguing Dead Island has gone gold, and it'll be on store shelves on September 6. It shares the launch day with Insomniac's Resistance 3 but while both games are played from a first-person viewpoint, I think we can all agree that both are quite different from one another. Featuring a hectic survival concept in which players must use anything they can find as a weapon, Dead Island combines fast-paced action with several deeper, RPG-like elements that enhance the experience. And let's not forget that tremendously well-presented CG trailer that has wowed the gaming population.
…no, the game won't look like that. But it should still be fun.
