Yamauchi Helps GT-R To A Class Win At Nurburgring 24h

Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi loves cars. And it goes well beyond video games.

He has been a professional racer for quite some time now, and he most recently took one of his favorite vehicles, the Nissan GT-R, to the Nurburgring 24h race. Yamauchi and his team of Michael Schulze, Tobias Schulze, and Yasuyoshi Yamamoto posted an overall finish of 36th but better yet, they won their SP 8T class !

Despite some lengthy pit stops, the GT-R – a first-time participant in the race – ended the long event with a win. And when the car crossed the finish line, Yamauchi was at the wheel. This excellent showing follows Yamauchi's 2nd place finish in the LMP2 class during the legendary Le Mans 24h event (another team-based race, obviously).
