Arguably an effective action persona on the silver screen, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson isn't easily fazed.
Just because that "DOOM" movie flopped doesn't mean he'd shy away from doing another game-based film. However, in addition to the "Spy Hunter" movie he was supposed to be in (that never got off the ground), you'd think his experiences with crossover films would dissuade him, wouldn't you? Nah. In a recent MTV interview , Johnson said that "if the right script came along," he'd give it a go:
"I think if the right one came along. I thought we had an opportunity with 'DOOM.' Didn't work out the way we wanted it to, creatively. But yeah, if the right opportunity came along and the script is good, sure."
And that one script? Well, it might just be "Call of Duty: Black Ops:"
"'[Call of Duty] Black Ops,' that'd be bad ass. Let's make it happen, let's do it. That and 'Black Swan 2.'"
We figure just about anyone in Hollywood would want to be part of a "Call of Duty" movie. The issue of casting is almost irrelevant, as the name alone should generate a massive box office haul. So The Rock in CoD…it might work. We guess. Maybe we're just not as excited because CoD has this industry by the throat right now.
