Some of us have been a little suspicious of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood , but perhaps we needn't have worried.
For fans of the series, there were two causes of the aforementioned suspicion: firstly, we just had Assassin's Creed II in November of 2009; to release another in only one year gave the "rushed" implication. Secondly, with the new addition of multiplayer, some were concerned that Ubisoft would sacrifice a certain amount of single-player robustness. However, Ubisoft explained away the first concern by saying they had the second leg of Ezio's journey written long ago, and of course, they're using the same engine. As for the second part, yeah, the multiplayer will be huge…but with two and a half hours of cut-scenes, it doesn't sound gimped in any way. According to a UK BBFC classification of the game, there are over 150 minutes of said cut-scenes, which is definitely good news from a plot-related standpoint. Let's not forget how in-depth and complex the storylines have been in these games…
Anyway, this is good to hear. And of course, we'll be looking for Ezio to be better and more effective than ever, so we can't wait to step into the skilled assassin's boots come November.
