Mythbusters To Tackle Doom: Could He Really Carry All That?

The answer will probably be "no" but it'll be worth seeing nonetheless.

In the classic video game Doom , players carry armor, health packs, and a bunch of very big guns, including the iconic BFG. But could someone really carry all this stuff?

That's the question "Mythbusters" will tackle in an upcoming episode. Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage will test the possibility of such a scenario, and the episode will feature id Software studio director Tim Willits. Here's part of the teaser:

"Is it really possible for someone to carry all those health packs, guns, and even a chainsaw? Using the DOOM universe and DOOM 3 BFG Edition for reference, Tim helps the team recreate a DOOM level in real life."

The full episode will air at 9 p.m. on Saturday, January 31 on the Discovery Channel. …I'm willing to bet whoever carries this stuff would move awfully slowly, if he could move at all.

Well in Bowling for Columbine they showed a kid with about a 2 dozen guns strapped all over his body and still moving reasonably well, but throwing in Rocket Launchers and stuff this is gonna be Busted, unless there are special carrying devices in the Doom universe.

Might have also have had to do with them actually testing interesting and curious myths before. Unfortunately they've run out. Not to mention they fired said redhead.
