Ni no Kuni Wizard’s Edition Oversold, Pre-Orders Canceled

This is what's known as an unfortunate business "oops."

Some customers who pre-ordered the special Wizard's Edition of the newly released and critically acclaimed JRPG Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch simply aren't getting what they ordered.

According to a GamesIndustry.biz report , some of those customers have had their orders canceled by distributor Digital River. This is a problem because this very limited edition has proven extremely difficult to find in the stores, and the Namco Bandai online store doesn't even have the regular edition now. The only solace those customers have is a $20 coupon for having their order canceled. Digital River issued the following statement in Namco Bandai's forums :

"We apologize for the discrepancies you may have encountered with your order of Namco Bandai's Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch – Wizard's Edition. As one of our valued customers, we want to assure you that a Digital River representative will be reaching out to you individually via email to address your specific issue. We sincerely appreciate your patience as we work through this situation."

Apparently, there was an error in the ordering system, which is never good. But here's hoping the situation is revolved quickly, so people can start playing one of the best RPGs of the generation.
