Assassin’s Creed Unity Video Shows Off Co-Op Gameplay

No competitive multiplayer for Assassin's Creed Unity but the co-op feature should be sweet!

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video that shows off one of the game's co-op heist missions. Two players infiltrate a Paris hospital in an attempt to loot some pricey artifacts, and creative director Alex Amancio and a friend offer commentary.

They use abilities like Eagle Vision and lockpicking (which unsurprisingly involves a brief mini-game), and players must also master "sync kills" where you team up to bring down an adversary. Amancio says such missions are designed to be "highly replayable," so there are randomized factors, such as the number and positions of the guards. The treasure might be in a different locale, too.

The artifacts in question will grant you skill points, money and other rewards. Check it out:

Not to be a whiner or anything, but I really really wish they did the main campaign doable in coop instead of just unchained "mini-games" or whatever I should call them.
Sure, there are technical challenges in such an approach, but from a coop perspective there's just nothing beating a good, rich and complete campaign done in coop.

I agree. I was actually going to purchase this because I thought the campaign was co op, but now that I know its not I will wait on it.

The other thing that bums me out is the period setting. They could do sooo many other areas in the world, like Japan, Egypt, Turkey and dozens of other places.

I have a sneaking suspicion they are only doing western type areas because they have all of the assets made and its easier to keep pumping out content then to make completely different architecture for say somewhere like Japan.

Anyway I wouldn't say you are a whiner, this is supposed to be a next gen AC game, and you would think they could make co op work in the campaign.
