While we expect the campaign of Killzone: Shadow Fall to be exemplary, most shooter fans are hoping for excellent multiplayer action.
And now that we've got some fresh details, those fans have a better idea of what to expect. Developer Guerrilla Games has released a ton of new multiplayer information at the official Killzone website .
No fewer than 22 weapons will be available right off the bat, and there will be 19 weapon attachments as well. Guerrilla has sworn to continue to support Shadow Fall in the multiplayer department, so you can expect more updates and content after the anticipated title launches alongside the PlayStation 4 on November 15 (November 29 in Europe). As a very nice bonus, DLC maps will be released for free "to prevent the player base from becoming fractured."
There are plenty of interesting multiplayer tidbits: The player mechanics available in the campaign will be included in the multiplayer action, and that includes the snap-in cover system. The melee system has been expanded with drop-down melees, too. There will be three distinct classes and a dozen unique special abilities in multiplayer, and each of the classes can be enhanced with two more special skills. Then there's custom warzones with "supercharged customization features" and excellent Combat Honors to consider. It's good to be rewarded!
This should be the PS4's defining title at launch, so new owners will definitely want to give it a try.
