We saw a lot of games during Sony's unveiling of the PlayStation 4, but only one – Sony Japan's Knack – was actually confirmed as being a launch title.
We'd certainly like to assume that other games, like DriveClub and inFamous: Second Son , will be launch software as well. Those haven't been set in stone yet, but a very important one has: Killzone: Shadow Fall .
As revealed over at the PlayStation Blog , Guerrilla's latest will indeed be available the instant the PS4 hits the market. Said senior producer Steven Ter Heide:
"It has been an amazing journey for us so far, being offered the opportunity to be a launch title for the new PlayStation, and the subsequent mild panic to figure out how to best handle all of that."
The setting is 30 years after the events of Killzone 3 and we'll be playing as an all-new hero. If you missed the nearly 8-minute gameplay presentation from the PlayStation Meeting, it's below…and it's all sorts of tasty. Can you imagine having Killzone: Shadow Fall and inFamous: Second Son as launch titles…? Hell, I'll take that. Maybe toss in Uncharted 4 to make it the bestest launch lineup in history.
