Infinity Ward Boss: Room For Both MW3 And Battlefield 3

The ultimate FPS battle will take place this fall but in truth, it has already begun in the headlines.

Which will be better? Which one should I buy? The question, "which will sell more?" is already a foregone conclusion but the other questions are perfectly legitimate. And you might expect that Infinity Ward boss Robert Bowling would promote one over the other but in fact, he told Eurogamer that there's "definitely room" for both Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3 . Furthermore, he says both games will offer "very different experiences:"

"I'm very aware that we have two very different audiences and we're delivering two very good and very different experiences, so I think the baiting is built up more of these two really passionate communities – and they should be really passionate about their individual games – getting at each other, and that's been happening forever."

But more importantly they're going to be very different experiences. The kind of gameplay you get from Call of Duty is very different from what you get anywhere else and I think that's important. I think any shooter fan would be extremely disappointed if you only got one."

Battlefield 3 gets the jump on MW3 by releasing on October 25 (MW3 launches on November 8) but shooter fans will want to play both. Won't they? Will you purchase both?
