Pre-Ordering Ascension Nets You King Leonidas Multiplayer DLC

Well, it certainly fits, doesn't it?

Some downloadable content has been announced for the upcoming God of War: Ascension , and according to the PlayStation Blog , those who pre-order the game at GameStop will get a special piece of "300" DLC.

Based on the hit 2006 action movie, this DLC grants the player the use of King Leonidas, who will come fully equipped with his signature Spartan helmet, armor, red cape, and deadly spear. Unsurprisingly, that spear will have a unique set of abilities, so it should be really cool to try out in the multiplayer. Yes, bear in mind that this is multiplayer DLC; that may seem odd for a game like Ascension but hey, what DLC isn't for multiplayer these days?

In addition, GameStop will toss in a double-sided 22" x 28" poster so you can have a bit of wall decoration. By the way, don't forget that if you pick up "Total Recall" on Blu-Ray on December 18, you'll get a single-player demo for the game as well. No, not the original "Total Recall," the remake that was recently in theaters…and that's unfortunate, because I've been thinking of adding the original to my collection.
