We don't have the official press release just yet, but we're obliged to believe the studio director.
According to what Evolution Studios boss Paul Rustchynsky told a fan over at the Euro PlayStation Blog , the anticipated PlayStation 4 exclusive, Driveclub , has gone gold.
This means the game will undoubtedly release on October 7. The fan in question was joking about another delay, which gave Rustchynsky the opportunity to say:
"The game has gone GOLD (smiley face). See you online in a few weeks."
Just a few days ago, Evolution outlined the free downloadable content players can expect, along with the $25 DLC Pass. The game has met with a fair amount of controversy given its presentation and pricing structure, mostly because it was originally announced as entirely free for PlayStation Plus members. There's more to that story, as you well know by now.
But the game does sound great.

Oh boy YES!!! I cannot wait to give this a shot. They did great with the original Motorstorm so I am most definitely anticipating this.

Day one! Have my pre-order for it and patiently waiting for October to come around. 🙂
I look forward to driving the PS Plus sample offering of the game. Evolution has managed to impress me with their commitment to visual-technical excellence on this one. I just wonder how much the game can hold me over time.
