Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding 2: On the Beach may be causing overheating issues, a rare occurrence for PS5 games as many haven’t usually tested the limits of the current-gen consoles.
Reddit users and people across the net are placing the blame on the map menu potentially running on an unlocked frame rate (per GameSpot), meaning the console is no longer capping itself at the most stable frames it can. Of course, we’re sure Kojima Productions is aware of the issue and will make efforts to resolve the issue, which, as it stands, sounds mostly like just capping the frame rate of its map menu will improve performance.
