Atari announced today that initial worldwide shipments of its DRIV3R videogame totaled 2.5 million units.
Available for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox, the title was released to sub-par reviews on June 21 in the U.S. and June 22 in Europe and Australia. Debbie Mola, Electronics Boutique’s divisional vice president of merchandising, said, “With just three days of sales, DRIV3R is certain to be one of our top three sellers for the month of June. We had high expectations for the title and it is meeting them."
