Epic Planning To Announce Unreal Tournament 4 On May 8?

Will we soon see another Unreal Tournament ?

The iconic franchise has been on hiatus since Unreal Tournament III in 2007. However, Epic Games appears to be teasing a sequel…

Vice president of product development Paul Meegan has given us the biggest clue via Twitter , where he says we'll find out more about the "future of Unreal Tournament " during an upcoming Twitch channel presentation. This will occur on May 8 at 2 p.m. EST, so tune in if you're interested. Epic vice president and co-founder Mark Rein echoed the tease and added:

"I love Unreal Tournament! So excited for the comeback!"

It'll be interesting to see how they handle a new UT, and the technical aspects should be pretty impressive, as the new project may utilize the studio's new Unreal Engine 4. In a world where multiplayer shooters reign supreme, this might be the perfect time to revisit one of the pioneers of FPS multiplayer fun.
