Transformers: Devastation On PS4/Xbox One Hits 1080p/60fps

As you might expect, if you want the best versions, you're gonna need one of the new consoles.

Developer Platinum Games has confirmed the max resolution and frame rate for the upcoming Transformers: Devastation .

As producer Robert Conkey told DualShockers , the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game will manage 60 frames per second, but the PS3 and 360 iterations might occasionally drop below that number "during intensive scenes." The PS4 and Xbox One versions should be "stable" throughout the adventure.

As for resolution, both the newer editions will output at 1080p while the last-gen versions will run at 720p. For PC, it's whatever your setup can support, as usual. Transformers: Devastation is due out on October 6 and for more on the super sweet effort, check out our recent preview .

The latest, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark , is headed to consoles on June 24, and there's even a special portable version for the 3DS, in development at WayForward.

Edge of Reality is the team behind the console iterations and honestly, the production appears to be quite polished. Check out the latest gameplay trailer, loaded with plenty of epic confrontations between very large robots. As you might expect, the game will feature a boatload of action, and players will have the opportunity to assume the roles of both the Autobots and the Decepticons.
