Rumor: New TMNT Effort In The Works At Platinum Games

Looks like we're in for a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game and this time, publisher Activision has found just the right developer.

Though it hasn't yet been officially announced, the Australian Classification Board has listed a title called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan and penciled in as developer is Platinum Games. That's right, the same team that gave us Bayonetta , Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance .

Mutants in Manhattan has been rated M for "moderate impact violence and mild impact language" but again, we don't know anything concrete. The last time we saw a TMNT game was Out of the Shadows , which launched for Xbox 360 and PC in 2013 and came to PS3 in 2014. The game didn't fare well in terms of review scores but we know Platinum can deliver a gem, so cross your fingers!

TMNT: Danger Of The Ooze Offers Classic Side-Scrolling Fun

Time for another TMNT romp!

Activision has announced a new side-scrolling action/adventure title, currently in development at WayForward: It's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Danger of the Ooze , and it's heading to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 an Nintendo 3DS this fall.

Bridging the gap between Seasons 2 and 3 of Nickelodeon's popular TMNT cartoon, this new quest will boast classic 2D fighting and platforming, along with 3D art direction taken straight from the TV series. Players will enjoy new locations, allies and enemies, as we'll have to deal with the likes of Shredder, Tiger Claw, and a new army of mutants. According to the press release, the game's stand-out feature is its "vast, interconnected, non-linear game world, which rewards exploration and creative thinking."

Take advantage of a wide variety of powers, upgrades and equipment scattered across the streets of New York, and don't forget that players can switch to any of the four Turtles on the fly. Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo and Raphael each have specific strengths and skill-sets, too. Sounds like a great little game to pass the time on a rainy day!
