This is for all the role-playing purists who still believe the only way to play involves pen and paper.
CD Projekt Red has announced a partnership with R. Talsorian Games that will ultimately yield a new tabletop RPG game based on The Witcher .
"The Witcher Role-Playing Game" will boast characters and creatures from the vaunted series, along with spells, rituals, curses, equipment and items. The game utilizes the Fuzion system, which will be familiar to those who have already enjoyed the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop game (also made by R. Talsorian). Here's a statement about the new project:
"The system will provide all the necessary tools to create and play out your own adventures and become everything from a battle-hardened monster slayer to a merchant kingpin controlling a vast network of contacts."
The game is set to launch some time in mid-2016 so yeah, you've got a bit of a wait. But in the meantime, there's plenty of free DLC to download for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and don't forget about the two expansions scheduled for October and the first part of next year. Oh, and the 16th and final piece of free DLC will be a New Game+ Mode , about which the fans are quite happy.
