The Division Open Beta Trailer Shows Off New Story Mission

The open beta for Tom Clancy's The Division is ready to roll and to celebrate, Ubisoft has released a new trailer.

This new test kicks off today on Xbox One and tomorrow (February 19) for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It features all the content included in the closed beta along with a brand new story mission called Subway Morgue.

This trailer shows off plenty of great gameplay, including a peek at that new mission. Now, while your progress in the closed beta won't carry over to the open test, you can still use the installed data on your machine (provided you haven't deleted it yet, of course). Plus, those who take part in the open beta will receive a free in-game reward when The Division officially launches on March 8.

According to one of our recent polls , the majority of our readers really loved the closed beta, so it should stand to reason that many will like the open beta. And did you know that console players will actually be able to fiddle with the graphics ?

The closed beta was extremely popular , which means not everyone on the wait list got in.

However, we heard the unofficial news that an open beta was coming this month, which gave those who missed out the first time renewed hope.

Well, now it's official: Ubisoft has announced the open beta for the hotly anticipated Tom Clancy's The Division . It will run between February 19 and 21 on PlayStation 4 and PC; as previously reported, Xbox One players can get in 24 hours earlier on the 18th. The developers say this new beta "will test the game systems further, and provide player feedback that will benefit the game experience at launch."

Plus, this time around, players can sample an all new story mission. And anyone who participates will receive a special in-game reward that will unlock after the full game is released.
