The frames per second subject remains a hotly contested one among gamers.

Now, a Ubisoft representative has confirmed the FPS goals for the upcoming racer, The Crew . According to MCV , they're aiming for 30 frames per second at a resolution of 1080p on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

This comes after a Ubisoft forum member complained that the PC beta test was locked at 30 frames per second. This prompted the following response from Ubisoft:

"The final game will run in 1080p with 30 frames per second on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, and will support up to 5760 x 1080p on PC for triple screen set-ups. Right now the team is focusing on providing an optimal experience for all players."

However, they later added that the team is striving for 60 frames per second on PC. There's no telling if that will happen but of course, there's a big difference between 30 and 60. For racing games, locking in 60 can be tough…
