Spyro Reignited Trilogy Breaches 10M Copies Sold

Spyro

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy has breached a significant milestone in the gaming industry. Released to much fanfare in 2018 with a hearty helping of glowing reviews and nostalgic praises, Toys For Bob was proud of it fast.

Toys For Bob and Activision revealed the news on X, sharing that the remake has sold 10 million copies globally. This was also conveniently right at the start of Spyro’s anniversary month. It also sounds like more celebrations and reveals are coming soon, so we’d keep an eye on its socials if we were you.

Here’s hoping this will spur TFB into making a brand-new entry to the Purple Dragon’s franchise, much like they did with Crash Bandicoot back in 2020.

What do you think? Do you hope this means more Spyro’s inbound? Let us know below!

Crash-Spyro Bundle Seemingly Leaked by Wal-Mart

Bundle-Crash-Spyro

According to a ResetEra user, Spyro and Crash will be coming together into one bundle. That is if the now unlisted Wal-Mart page is to be believed.

This ResetEra post contained information and a list of retailers with pages for the bundle including Wal-Mart. The set is set to release this November. The thing that makes this post stand out is the evidence. Even though most of the listed sites have no cover art, the Wal-Mart listing does have box art.

The post goes into other details such a listed price of $59.99, which is a steal of a deal for essentially six games. It will also require content download. Most of the information was pulled from Wal-Mart’s digital storefront. Its description, however, remained on display.

Your favorite Dragon and Bandicoot are back! With the Spyro + Crash Remastered Game Bundle, you get two fully remastered trilogies, the Spyro Reignited Trilogy and the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, for a total of six iconic games.

  • Rekindle the fire with the original three Spyro games, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage! and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
  • Then spin, jump, and wump as you take on the three Crash games that started it all, Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot: Warped.

The Crash-Spyro bundle, aptly named the Spyro + Crash Remastered Game Bundle, has yet to be announced, as such, this still counts as a rumor. But with Wal-Mart leaking this, it wouldn’t be surprising if this was a real thing. If the post is to be believed the bundle will be released November 13, 2018.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy’s Pre-orders are “Well Ahead of Expectations”

Spyro Reignited Trilogy

To nobody’s surprise, people were ecstatic after the announcement of Spyro the Dragon’s triumphant return to the gaming scene. Spyro may have appeared in things such as Skylanders but, he was definitely changed and for some, it was not entirely in a good way. When it was revealed that Spyro was being remade, the news was quite well received by longtime fans. During a recent conference call, Activision Blizzard revealed that pre-orders for Spyro Reignited Trilogy were rolling in and they were “well ahead of expectations”. No specific numbers were provided, but we can assume they’re massive.

According to the conference call, tens of millions of views were spread across a number of social media platforms.

The “Spyro Reignited Trilogy” will release with Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon.
